������������� of Nursing and Health Science Sponsors Santa Pics Benefiting Cystic Fibrosis

Salt Lake City, UT – December 21, 2022 ������������� of Nursing and Health Sciences students, alumni, and employees celebrated the holiday in traditional fashion with pictures with Santa at their first annual Joyceful Holiday Celebration. The event highlighted ������������� student Lindsey Taylor and her seven-year-old daughter, Maddison Joy, who has cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the lungs and pancreas.

This special holiday event benefited the Maddison Joy foundation which supports research to find a cure for those living with cystic fibrosis. Lindsey Taylor’s father, a professional Santa Clause, donated his time to the event in order to bring holiday cheer to the families in attendance. Families who wanted to donate to the cause could purchase an ornament for the Joyce Charity Tree or purchase merchandise from the University store. For the event, ������������� created limited-release sweatshirts, hoodies, and t-shirts with a purple heart to represent cystic fibrosis, with a portion of proceeds from the sales benefiting the Maddison Joy Foundation.

“When we heard Lindsey and Maddison’s story, we knew we had to jump in and support the foundation and the cause,” said Sherry Jones, President of �������������. “We’re proud to sponsor this event and raise awareness for cystic fibrosis. Maddison is an inspiration to all of us and it was a pleasure to see our community and their families interact with her and support this cause.”
